The Consortium of National Law Universities which conducts the Common Law Admission Test CLAT has started accepting applications for CLAT 2021 exam.  The exam shall be held on 9th May, 2021.  CLAT is used for admissions to 5 Year B.A./B.B.A./B.Sc. LL.B programs offered at 22 National Law Universities and over 52 Private Universities across the country.

CLAT-2021 Test pattern

It is important to note that CLAT test pattern was changed in 2020 and brought in at least 5 key changes in test pattern, i.e., the manner in which the students are assessed.  The driving purpose of the changes is to discourage memory based assessment and instead the focus on inferential reasoning, understanding of current affairs, interpreting mathematical data & tables, and application of English in real-world scenarios. Overall, it is designed to be a test of aptitude and skills that are necessary for a legal education rather than prior knowledge, though prior knowledge occasionally may be useful to respond to questions in the Current Affairs section.
